We recommend beginner students or artists to purchase the starter kit. This starter kit has everything you need to start practicing.

What is the difference between non-membrane & membrane needles?

Non-Membrane needles are needle cartridges without protective barrier in the cartridge that prevents backflow of fluids & blood into machine. Only recommended to be used on synthetic skins for practice purposes.

Membrane needles are needle cartridges with protective barrier in the cartridge that prevents backflow of fluids & blood into machine. This can be used on human skin for PMU tattoo preocedures. Most universal cartirdges should come with membrane protective barrier.

What are the different needles sizes & which do I need?

What types of numbing & anesthetics should I purchase?

There are two types of topical numbing for your clients:

- This type of numbing is used before you tattoo (can be done before you shape or after you outline)

- Length of numbing: 15-30 minutes

- Common key product ingredients: Lidocaine & Prilocaine

- Not to be used on broken skin (skin that has been cut or shaded into)

- This type of numbing is used during the tattoo procedure when client feels pain

- Length of numbing: 15-30 seconds

- Common key product ingredients: Lidocaine & Epinephrine

- These numbing should kick in right away to give immediate pain relief

- Recommended for broken skin (after you've broken the skin layer by shading) and only as needed
